{DIY Terrariums}

I've always wanted to make my own terrarium and when Mother's Day came around, I was looking for a different idea other than the typical flowers. Perfect opportunity to try is out! It's a fun way to add a little bitty bit of nature indoors. It was really simple, easy and quick to put together.

Here's what you need to make your own:

I simply added a small amount of pebbles to create a base. Then I removed the two plants and shook off some of the soil. I secured them by adding more pebbles and laying down some moss. Pretty simple! Neither of these two little plants require a whole lot of water to stay alive. Perfect!

Since I didn't use the little bitty birdie and, I had left over material, I thought I'd make two mini terrariums for myself. I've had these three adorable glass jars, (picked up thrifting a while ago for $1.49 each) and had wanted to do something with them.

10 Reasons Why I love my {Mom}

Of course there are more than 10 reasons why I love my mom, but for blog sake, I'll stick with ten in no particular order.

1. Because she has a beautiful heart.

2. Because she loves my son.

3. Because she is a kind and loving wife to my dad.

4. Because she followed her dream of owning a store.

5. Because she likes creating, crafting, thrifting and antiquing.

6. Because she taught me so much by example how to be a super mom.

7. Because she loves Jesus.

8. Because she is encouraging.

9. Because she finds beauty in the small things in life.

10. Because she is there for me whenever I need her.

Mothers Day Surprise

Yes, Tayson is 'Spiderman', we were at the community police station day earlier and he just had to show Nana his wonderful facing painting.

So I had to keep my mother's day creations under wraps,
seeing as my mom reads my blog.
But now I can finally post what I've been up to this week.
Tayson and I set up a special Mother's Day surprise dinner which included:
Chicken Dinner delight, raspberry cheesecake, a pot of daisies, a scavenger hunt and an art show a la Tayson. It was grand fun spending the evening with my dear mummsie, eating, chating, playing, computering, I love my MOM!
